Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use CelesChat. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are eligible to use the Service.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under it. CelesChat uses phone-based sign-in. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@celeschat.com immediately.

You may only create one account per phone number. Accounts are personal and may not be transferred to another person.

You can:

• Use CelesChat to send messages, share content, and use AI features for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Invite others to join the Service.

You cannot:

• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others.
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or automated messages without our consent.
• Share content that is illegal, obscene, or that infringes on another person's rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise access the Service in ways not intended or permitted.
• Use the Service to distribute malware or conduct phishing attacks.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

You own the messages, files, and other content you create and send through the Service. By using the Service, you grant Celes Labs a limited license to store, transmit, and process your content solely to operate and provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for advertising.

You are responsible for the content you share. Do not share content you do not have the right to share.

CelesChat includes AI-powered features that process your messages to generate responses and suggestions. These features are core to the Service. AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate. Do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions.

When you use an AI feature in a group chat, messages from other group members in that conversation may be included in the AI request. All group members are aware of this by agreeing to these Terms.

How your data is handled in connection with AI features is described in our Privacy Policy.

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings › Account › Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service. We will try to give you reasonable notice if we shut down the Service, but we are not obligated to do so.

The Service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or appropriate for your needs. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Celes Labs disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Celes Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
